What Is Yacht Seating Upholstery Fabric?
Upholstery fabric is any fabric that is at least 350gsm, preferably heavier, and is tightly woven enough to withstand daily wear and tear. Upholstery fabric is sometimes mixed in with other interiors fabric. Fabric lighter than 350gsm can be used for curtains and cushions, but I wouldn't recommend it for upholstery, especially if the piece will be used frequently.
However, if you're covering a decorative chair that will sit in the corner of a room and won't get much use, and you've found a fabric you like, go for it!
